The trailer for I Am Paul Walker, the documentary on the actor’s life, released today. The film features interviews by those who were closest to him.
Though Walker gained wide acclaim for his role in Fast and Furious, superstardom didn’t matter too much to him. Director Rob Cohen reveals that only two things mattered to the actor: his daughter and surfing. He was also a philanthropist who heavily assisted with rebuilding Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. He established the disaster relief organization Reach Out Worldwide, reports HelloGiggles.
“I can actually say he did a lot of things that made a lot of difference in a lot of people’s lives, you know?” the actor’s uncle, Rhett Walker, says in the trailer. “He was a giver.”

Walker passed away in 2013 when a car he was riding in hit a lamp-post. He and the driver, Roger Rodas, were both killed.
“If you loved him the way we did, you would say, ‘Well why him and not us?’” Walker’s friend and Fast and Furious co-star Tyrese Gibson says in the trailer.
The documentary premieres on the Paramount Network on August 11. It is a part of the network’s long-standing I Am documentary series.
