Sacramento Made This Top 50 List and it’s Not Good

Sacramento has been named as one of the “rattiest” cities by Orkin Pest Control. Orkin released their report of the top 50 cities with rat infestations and Sacramento made the list at number 33. At least we aren’t number 1 but I’d rather that we weren’t on this list at all. In 2022 Sacramento came in at number 36 so the problem is getting worse. 

In a press release Orkin entomologist, Ben Hottel said, “Rodents multiply swiftly and when an infestation is left unattended, they can cause extensive damage to homes and yards, rats are capable of squeezing into spaces through holes as small as a quarter, which makes it especially important to seal cracks from the outside.”
