Prince Harry is a lot like his mother Princess Diana in that his wedding to Meghan Markle will very likely be a big public event.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, british royalty and Hollywood actress, are planning their wedding. They revealed that it will happen this coming May 2018, and the wedding will be similar to Prince Harry’s mother Princess Diana’s wedding from 1981.

In a statement released from a spokesperson, “The couple of course want the day to be a special, celebratory moment for their friends and family. They also want the day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too and are currently working through ideas for how this might be achieved.”

Television. It’s going to be televised, just like Princess Diana’s wedding was. It’s sure to be a massive event, as the world seems to be very interested in the royal family, and your Facebook feed has no-doubt been flooded with information about the couple and their new engagement.

But does televising a wedding sort of take away from the moment? Or do you agree with their move to allow “members of the public to feel part of the celebrations?” Should weddings be private ceremonies between the families, and not the public?
