Well, we theorized it yesterday, and today (well, late yesterday), Katy Perry released the video for her new song, “Hey Hey Hey.” It’s the Marie Antoinette-style video. NOW artist Sia also has writing credit for the song.
In the video, “Marie Antoinette” dreams of “shedding her corset and ditching her disgusting suitor ‘Prince Piggy.’ She imagines herself as another historical figure, Joan of Arc, clad in rainbow-colored dress and chain mail, takes a sword to Marie’s sheltered life.” There’s a ton of color in the video, and it’s just really bright and pleasant to watch. It’s already just about at 4 million views at the time of this writing (3,969,443).
It’s the latest release from her new “Witness” album. She says on Instagram “After a year of peaks and valleys (remember, it’s all a journey), I wanted to end 2017 with a fun, triumphant piece of pop candy. Just think of it as a glam little stocking stuffer from me to you.” She just finished up the first part of her tour last night in Miami, and is taking about a week off for the holidays, and will be back at in for New Year’s Eve.
