Justin Bieber Is Skipping The Grammys Again This Year
Justin Bieber revealed that not only is he skipping the Grammys for a second year in a row, it’s because he’s working on new music.

The Biebs is skipping the Grammys, and his performance of “Despacito” with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. He skipped the show last year as well, despite his 4 nominations. This year he’s up for 3 nominations for the song “Despacito,” which he performed alongside Luis and Daddy.
The categories in which “Despacito” is nominated for are “Song of the Year,” “Record of the Year,” and “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.” Luis Fonsi was set to perform the song with Bieber, but now that Bieber has said he isn’t attending, Luis and Daddy Yankee will have to perform the hit without him. In 2017, Bieber skipped the Grammys, but Instagrammed his evening eating sushi. This year, he’s skipping the Grammys (and apparently other awards shows too), until his next album is ready. By the way, if that song wins, it will be the first Spanish-language song in Grammys history.
Wait – apparently he’s working on another album! I guess that’s Bieber’s way of dropping that news. Justin has said in the past that he didn’t feel like the Grammys represented music that people “really liked,” but usually at least gets nominations, and he did win in 2016 for “Best Dance Recording.”
