Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star was destroyed this morning, July 25.
LAPD officers responded at around 3:30 a.m. after alerted of a man ripping the star apart with a pickaxe. According to The Blast, a man shortly after turned himself in to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is in charge of maintaining and fixing the stars on Hollywood Blvd. They have been busy the past two years, as Trump’s star has commonly been the target of attack. The star will be “immediately” repaired from the latest destruction.

The president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Leron Gubler, is working with the police to prosecute the vandal. The act was caught on surveillance video.
“When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California State landmark,” they said in a statement. “Our democracy is based on respect for the law. People can make a difference by voting and not destroying public property.”
