The flu does really hurt worse for guys. Here’s why…

SacBee.com says that a researcher claims that the “man flu” is real! The researcher behind the study was tired of being accused of overreacting to his flu symptoms, so he launched a study that found that the flu is indeed worse for men.

His study found that men have a “higher risk of hospital admission and higher rates of flu-related deaths compared with women” among other things that proves that women have a more “robust” immune system.

What does the researcher thinks causes this? Testosterone. It may have an “immunosuppresive effect” on men’s immune system while women’s hormones actually boost their immune systems.
