When celebrities begin planning their weddings, many of them decide to go big or go home. When it comes to Ed Sheeran’s upcoming wedding to Cherry Seaborn, he’s no exception!
According to PEOPLE, the English superstar wants to build a personal chapel for his special day.
The singer submitted a planning application to Suffolk Coastal District Council in order to build the chapel on his private estate. The building will be built in a Saxon style with a round tower, and it will be made of flint. It also plans to hold only 24 people, so the wedding will likely be a very small affair.
In his application, Sheeran expresses why he wants to build the chapel, saying:
“It is every person’s right to be able to have a place to retreat for contemplation and prayer, for religious observance, celebration of key life and family milestones, marriages, christenings and so forth.”
Sheeran’s reps did not respond when PEOPLE asked for a comment about the application.
While it sounds really expensive to build a private chapel, we’re pretty sure Ed Sheeran isn’t short on money.
