Arnold Schwarzenegger is currently in the hospital after going through emergency heart surgery…
According to TMZ, the former Governor of California went to the hospital Thursday for a catheter valve replacement.
However, the surgery was “somewhat experimental” and the actor began suffering from complications. Doctors, who were ready to act if the new valve didn’t work, made the decision to send him back into the operating room. He then went through several more hours of open-heart surgery.

Despite the close call, the 70-year-old is now in stable condition.
As it turns out, this is not the first time the actor has underwent a surgery like this. Back in 1997, the actor also had an aortic valve replaced. While doctors at the time did not think the surgery was urgently needed, the movie star decided he wanted to get it over with when he was still a young man.
We wish Arnold Schwarzenegger the best with his recovery, and we hope he will be back on his feet soon!
