The Jerry Springer Show had a long run from 1991 to July of this year. Now that it’s over, Springer is on to the next one.
The former mayor of Cincinnati plans to return to the small screen with his own daytime courtroom show, Judge Jerry. According to TV Guide, the show will debut in fall 2019 with daily half-hour syndicated episodes. The format is pretty much exactly what you’d expect from a courtroom show. Springer will sit behind the bench and deliver a verdict to real cases.

“For the first time in my life, I am going to be called honorable,” Springer said in a statement. “My career is coming full circle and I finally get to put my law degree to use after all these years.”
Oh, and for those wondering what he meant by “law degree,” Springer was an attorney for 15 years before starting his tabloid talk show! So there’s your fun fact for the day.
