Disney+ Is Reportedly Producing Hawkeye Series With Jeremy Renner

A new series is reportedly coming to Disney’s upcoming streaming service, Disney+, focusing on Marvel character Hawkeye and starring Jeremy Renner.

The upcoming Disney streaming service, Disney+, has announced that a new superhero series, featuring Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, is in development.

According to Variety, sources for the publication have shared that Disney+ is producing another superhero limited series. This new show will reportedly focus on expert marksman Avenger, Hawkeye, with Jeremy Renner set to reprise the role. The reports describe this series as being set as an adventure where Renner’s Clint Barton trains a new apprentice, Kate Bishop. Kate Bishop is a notable character in Marvel comics, who takes up the mantle of Hawkeye and joins a group called the Young Avengers.

This new Hawkeye series is set to join an already announced Marvel series that is also coming to Disney+, starring Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. Additional Marvel series include shows featuring Falcon and Winter Soldier and a show with Vision and Scarlet Witch. Reportedly, the series is expected to run six to eight episodes, and will be produced by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige.
