Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 is releasing to high critical praise, as well as great box office performance.

According to Variety, the fourth film in the Toy Story franchise debuted with $12 million on Thursday night, June 20. This marks the second best debut for an animated movie, coming behind Pixar’s Incredibles 2 at $18.5 million. Toy Story 4 sees the return of iconic characters, Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear, after a nine-year hiatus. With audiences excited to see these beloved characters again, experts are projecting this film will earn over $140 million domestically this weekend. If the movie reaches this expected goal, Toy Story 4 would be crowned as the second highest opening weekend for an animated movie, coming behind Incredibles 2’s $182 million.
