Thieves Crawl To Avoid Being Caught On Camera, Give Us Entertaining Footage

Crawling won’t stop video cameras from recording you, which is a fact that these three thieves probably learned after their latest break-in.

These thieves thought that crawling would give them good cover to avoid being seen on camera. Turns out it just makes for more entertaining footage.

These three guys broke into a restaurant after-hours, and started looking for some cash. They found a leftover tip jar behind the bar that was being saved for the shift that worked, and thought it would be a good score. The grabbed about $450 from the tip jar, and then tried to make their exit from the restaurant. But it’s how they moved through the restaurant that got the most attention. They were nicknamed the “inchworm bandits,” since they were crawling across the floor.

In addition to the entertaining footage of these guys crawling across who-knows-what on the floor, they did about $2,000 worth of damage to the restaurant. They broke a window and kicked through a door. The are still at-large, but probably not for much longer. There was another restaurant robbed a week earlier in the same style, so police think they’re connected. Check out the video of the inchworm bandits over here, and a little more about the story.
