Happy Cinco de Mayo weekend! Here are your Sactown events happening now through Sunday, cool enough for the whole squad and family! Check it out!

YAASS! Happy Cinco de Mayo weekend! We made it through another work or school week – time to step out and have some fun now! Get your colorful outfit ready, gather your family and friends ready, and check out all the cool events happening now through Sunday for Cinco de Mayo. I curated these events worth knowing about, here’s your Sactown 411 Weekend Event Guide: Cinco de Mayo Celebration

1.Kids and Teens in the Kitchen: Tamale Party, May 3 at Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op Community Learning Center and Cooking School, class $49

Attendees will make homemade green chili-cheese tamales, pico de gallo, and fresh guacamole in preparation for Cinco de Mayo! This is a hands-on cooking class with a vegetarian menu. Students will enjoy a generous taste of each recipe.

 2.El Carnaval de Chavez: A Cinco de Mayo Festival, May 4 & 5 at Cesar Chavez Plaza. Sat 11:30am-9pm; Sun 11:30am-6pm. Entry $10.

This year’s celebrations include Lucha Libra, classic cars, live mural painting by renowned artist Gabriel Romo, Maquilli Aztec Dancers, and many other attractions.

3.Cantina Alley Cinco de Mayo La Gran Pachanga: May 4 at K Street between 23rd & 24th Streets. Sat Noon-10pm. Free entry,  Age 21 and up.

Enjoy live performances from some of the hottest bands, enjoy food and drink vendors, be a part of raffles, and more.

4.Fiesta En La Calle’s Cinco De Mayo Festival: May 4 & 5 at Southside Park. Sat 5pm-9pm; Sun Noon-6pm. Free entry, Cost of purchases for food and some activities 

The most well-attended Latino music and food festival in all of the Sacramento Valley. This year is a major milestone for Fiesta En La Calle as they celebrate the 50th free music event, it features the music of some of the most well known Latin Artists.

5.Cinco de Mayo at Julietta Winery: May, 5 at Julietta Winery in Clarksburg, CA, Sun Noon-6pm. Free entry, Cost of purchases for food and some activities.

Live music, amazing wine, and great street tacos. Selena’s Catering will be here will street tacos, and lawn games and bocce ball.
