People Left TONS of Trash At Zephyr Cove On Lake Tahoe
People left over 6,000 lbs of trash at Zephyr Cove

Lots of folks went to celebrate the 4th of July holiday weekend at Lake Tahoe but volunteers weren’t ready for the amount of trash that they left behind!
SFChronicle.com is reporting an environmental nonprofit called Clean Up The Lake went to clean up Zephyr Cove after all of the visitors left and they were shocked at all of the trash left behind!
The group picked up more than 3 TONS of trash! The founder of the group says that this year was the worst that he has ever seen. It’s uncertain if all of the trash left behind at Zephyr Cove will cause new rules to be implemented moving forward. Please remember to respect public spaces and to clean up after yourself.
