Panera Bread Plans To Test Out Double Bread Bowls

Sometimes it’s just too hard to choose one filling for your bread bowl. Panera Bread understands… and it’s why they’re testing out double bread bowls!

Sometimes it’s just too hard to choose one filling for your bread bowl. Panera Bread understands… and it’s why they’re testing out double bread bowls!

So what exactly is a double bread bowl? It’s an entire loaf of sourdough bread (!) with two round cutouts at either end. The new bowls can be filled with any soup or mac and cheese combo.

Panera is rolling out the new menu item from Aug. 5 to Aug. 31. Unfortunately, however, Delish reports only being tested in Philadelphia. The ray of hope is that, if testing goes well, there will be a “potential nationwide launch in the future,” according to the rep.

Fingers crossed this goes well. This is something we never knew we needed until now!
