Wednesday, August 29, marks what would have been the celebration of Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday. To commemorate the occasion, a celebration is being held that will include music, dancing, and the release of a new remix by Mark Ronson, featuring a collection of MJ’s greatest hits.

According to billboad, Ronson has collaborated with Sony Music and the Jackson Estate to create a 5-minute remix called: “Michael Jackson x Mark Ronson: Diamonds Are Invincible”. The mix will feature a collection of Jackson’s greatest hits, including “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”, “Billie Jean”, “Smooth Criminal” and more.

When asked to describe his experience, being a part of the important project, Ronson said: “It was such an amazing, awe-inspiring and insanely intimidating task to put this together, although you’d need hours and hours to fit all of Michael’s classic tunes into one track”. “I can’t wait for you to all hear the extended version coming soon,” he concluded.

In addition to the remix, a special showing of the Michael Jackson ONE performance by the Cirque de Soleil will be premiering in Las Vegas on Wednesday night. Additionally, guests will be making appearances at the Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay, including Michael’s children, Paris and Prince, as well as brothers Jackie and Tito.
