Mac Miller is facing some serious consequences for his scary drunk driving car crash

According to TMZ, the L.A. City Attorney’s Office hit the rapper with two DUI charges for his May accident. One of the counts is for just driving under the influence, while the other if for driving with a BAC at 0.08 or higher. However, Miller did escape a hit and run charge police initially arrested him for.

For those who don’t remember, Miller smashed his car into a utility pole in the San Fernando Valley last May. While he quickly fled the scene (remarkably unhurt), police later appeared at his house to arrest him. Cops then breathalyzed the rapper, and he reportedly blew twice the legal limit.

Based on his current charges, Mac Miller is facing up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. However, since he is a first offender, there’s a decent chance he will have a lighter punishment.

As TMZ points out, it’s been a tough year for the rapper. On top of the crash, he also went through a break-up with singer Ariana Grande (who is now very engaged).
