Kim Kardashian New Year’s Resolution – Step Back From Social Media

Kim Kardashian just dropped a pretty difficult-to-attain New Year’s Resolution, and we wish her the best of luck for her good intentions.

It sounds more like a broken record than a resolution, but Kim K. says her 2018 goal is to step a little farther away from social media. She cited her October 2016 Paris robbery, saying that she was Snapchatting all day that she was home and that everyone left, and she still thinks that that’s a big part of the reason why she was targeted – in addition to posting constant selfies and pictures of her jewelry. She wants to start having a little more privacy in life, especially with her children, so she says she’s planning to “step back.”

In her announcement on her website, she said “My New Year’s resolution is to be on my phone less and be more in the moment.” That might prove difficult for her though, since her whole “brand” was created thanks to social media. If it weren’t for social media in general, where would she be today? But still, we can’t fault her for taking “a step back,” because social media is still very new (in the grand scheme of things), and it’s constantly evolving and goes through weird phases. It’s recently become a tool for people who want to do harm to use, and with Kim expecting her third baby via surrogate, we totally understand her desire for privacy, and maybe this will be the change she needs. Maybe she’ll be able to focus on other goals with her brand and business, and be successful without the need to be on her phone constantly. Anyway, check out the full story here.
