AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND - JUNE 24: An Orca whale is seen off St Heliers Bay on June 24, 2009 in Auckland, New Zealand. New Zealand Orcas or Killer whales are the only known orca group that eat stingrays as a staple food, often hunting them into shallow water and sometimes beaching themselves. The kids were swimming in the ocean off of an island in New Zealand when somebody noticed the orcas and started filming this video. All those poor kids could see were fins coming at them and they FREAKED OUT!

From Youtube:

“Two kids were swimming near a New Zealand island when a pair of orcas came way too close for comfort.”

Luckily, the killer whales swam right past the kids and nobody was hurt. This is a story that they can tell their grandkids one day – and there’s video proof of it, too!
