Justin Timberlake is releasing the first single, “Filthy,” off his upcoming album tomorrow, Jan. 5. His much anticipated album, Man of the Woods, is out Feb. 2.

Timberlake posted a teaser for “Filthy” on Instagram. A music video will accompany the song release. Timberlake, Timbaland, and Danja share writing credits for the first single, reports Spin.

He captioned the post, “‘…so real,'” and provided video credit to director Mark Romanek. The two have collaborated together before on Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” video.

The inclusion of Chris Stapleton in the album and the overall vibe of the Man of the Woods trailer had many thinking Timberlake might be going a more country route. The bits of “Filthy” heard in the trailer suggest otherwise.

Get ready to listen to “Filthy” very loud (as Timberlake suggests) tomorrow!

Timberlake runs out to a stage singing “Filthy” in a black turtleneck. The whole vibe feels like he’s a motivational speaker or about to make a tech presentation (Steve Jobs, anyone?). Maybe it’s not such a stretch, considering he was in The Social Network.
