Facebook is reportedly introducing a new feature to their Messenger app, which will allow users to ‘unsend’ unintended messages.

Facebook Messenger may soon allow users to ‘unsend’ unintended messages and save themselves from embarrassing mistakes.
According to Metro, an update to Facebook Messenger is reportedly coming that will introduce this new feature. Recent notes on the App Store hinted at this update, describing the new feature and its implications.
Facebook wrote in the update notes, saying: “Coming soon: Remove a message from a chat thread after it’s been sent.” “If you accidentally send the wrong photo, incorrect information or message the wrong thread,” the description continued, “you can easily correct it by removing the message within ten minutes of sending it.”

This rumored new feature was first discussed earlier this year. A tech expert, named Jane Manchun Wong reportedly uncovered this feature.
Another app owned by Facebook, WhatsApp, already has this feature included. Alongside this new information, the introduction of this feature into Messenger seemed to make sense to Facebook.
No official date has been set yet for the release of this new feature to the app.
