Ed Sheeran distanced himself from an Irish anti-abortion campaign after finding out that they were using his song without permission.
The pro-life supporters used “Small Bump” off Ed’s debut album, +, as they campaigned the streets of Dublin. They were hoping to draw awareness for their cause as Ireland’s abortion referendum is taking place later this week.

Once the singer caught wind of what was happening, he posted a message on his Instagram stories, reports NME. He wrote:
“I’ve been informed that my song ‘Small Bump’ is being used to promote the pro-life campaign, and I feel it’s important to let you know I have not given approval for this use, and it does not reflect what the song is about.”
