Demi Lovato has had a troubled past with food and body image. She consequently struggled with eating disorders from a young age, reports Delish. She has shared her progress with fans though social media towards a healthier lifestyle.
Demi recently tweeted a message about a milestone in her life. She’s no longer dieting:
“No longer depriving myself of treats (in moderation). I’m not gonna lie, I put on a couple lbs since I’ve given up dieting BUT I’ve given up the chronic stress of what I eat because I don’t want to set that example for my fans. No more food shaming myself!!”

She’s spreading a great message of body acceptance, especially to her younger fans who might look to her for guidance. She’s also encouraging others to stop equating body image with self worth.
