Couple Told To Remove Christmas Decorations By HOA!

Are you siding with the HOA or the homeowners?

A couple in San Antonio, Texas are expecting a baby in about a month. So, they put up their Christmas decorations a little early on November 1st. Their display was up for 3 days when they received a letter from their homeowners association (HOA).

The letter stated that the couple had to take their holiday decorations down until, “closer to the holiday season.” If you’re thinking this seems awfully unspecific, they did too! In fact, because of the vagueness of the order, the couple have decided to ignore it!

KCRA writes, “I just found it crazy, especially that they didn’t give us a time,” Claudia Simonis said. “Like, when is the right time to put it?”

For now, the pair said they have no intentions of taking down their displays.

“We’re not going to do it,” Nick Simonis said. “It’s the Christmas spirit. We’re not going to be forced by the HOA to take it down.”

Their neighbors are standing behind the decision, too, saying they plan to put up their decorations, as well.”
