‘Chicken Run 2’ Is Being Developed 18 Years After Original

‘Chicken Run’ is finally get a sequel! It’s been a long 18 years, but Aardman Animations confirmed that the film is currently in development.

Chicken Run is finally get a sequel! It’s been a long 18 years, but Aardman Animations confirmed that the film is currently in development.

The original movie starred Mel Gibson and Julia Sawalha. It followed the story of a group of chickens attempting to escape a Yorkshire poultry farm.

Sam Fell is set to direct, reports NME. He’s not stranger to stop-motion, as he directed 2007’s Flushed Away. Furthermore, the same writers, Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, for the first movie are back for the sequel!

The details of the movie are still shrouded in a bit of mystery. It’s unsure if the original cast will be back to reprise their roles.

Chicken Run 2 will likely go into production after Aardman finishes Shaun The Sheep 2.
