Disney and Marvel’s newest film, Captain Marvel, has released to a number of box office achievements.
According to HelloGiggles, the first female-led and female-directed Marvel movie premiered on March 8. The film released to many positive reviews from both audiences and critics, and also achieved several box-office records. Captain Marvel reportedly brought in $153 million in the U.S., and earned a total of $455 million globally during its opening weekend.
These impressive numbers elevated Captain Marvel as the largest-ever global opening for a female-led film.
