Chris Burrous is a former Sacramento news anchor that recently passed away in Los Angeles. A GoFundMe page was established to help Chris’ wife and daughter and Big Bang Theory star, Kunal Nayyar, donated $5,000!

FoxNews.com says that Chris passed away after a suspected overdose, leaving behind a wife and a 9-year old daughter. A GoFundMe account was established to help Chris’s family pay for his burial and bills. A huge donation of $5,000 was pledged by Kunal Nayyar. The article says that Kunal’s donation was the largest received by the page.

The page says:

“This account has been set up – with his family’s blessing – to help Chris’s wife Mai and nine-year-old daughter Isabella, the loves of his life.
Chris’s friends want to make sure Mai and Isabella have all the support they need during this difficult time.
As they mourn and deal with this sudden loss, the last thing they need to worry about right now is how to pay for a funeral, Mai finding a job, bills and other immediate expenses.”

As of this post, $75,810 of a $75,000 goal was raised by the page. If Chris’s name sounds familiar, he was an anchor on Good Day Sacramento for many years before transferring to the Los Angeles area to host the news.
