Joey Fatone on his multi-generational appeal, latest *NSYNC-related project & those pandemic pounds

As a result, he says he's now got fans who've never even heard of *NSYNC, which he thinks is weird, but "amazing." "With *NSYNC, a lot of the women now are in the 30s and 40s, they've kind of grown up with myself and the guys," Joey tells ABC Audio. "But then all of a sudden, when I did Dancing with the Stars, it was more of the grandparents that loved watching the show." "Then I did <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBxJNiuQp60" target="_blank">Impractical Jokers</a> and it brought more of the teens, tweens," he continues. "Then when I did Masked Singer, it brought it to the young kids that are like nine or 10 years old, that just loved The Rabbit...so it's such an amazing thing." "I saw a family and the grandmother literally was like, 'Oh, that's Joey from Dancing with the Stars.' The daughter was like, 'No, he's from Impractical Jokers!'" Joey laughs. The mom was like, "No, he's from *NSYNC!'...yeah, so it's great to be able to be well-rounded like that." Next up: Joey says he, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass have done "something" that he says "will be a lot of fun." "You'll see a commercial...it should come out soon, actually," he teases. The singer reacted Monday after an episode of the true crime podcast Crime Junkie told a fake crime story for April Fools’ Day based on the lyrics to her evermore track “no body, no crime,” featuring HAIM. "SCREAMING. 13 STARS!!!” Taylor wrote on her <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.instagram.com/stories/taylorswift/2545241336656488878/" target="_blank">Instagram Story</a> after listening to the episode. “…WELL PLAYED @crimejunkiepodcast.” The episode, titled <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://crimejunkiepodcast.com/missing-esther-hollis/" target="_blank">“Missing: Esther Hollis,”</a> elaborates on the story Taylor and HAIM tell in the song, about a woman named Este who has seemingly been murdered by her husband. “I think he did it but I just can't prove it/No, no body, no crime/But I ain't letting up until the day I die,” the lyrics go. Lil Nas X tops ‘Billboard’ Hot 100 with “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”

The artist has just <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/9551483/lil-nas-x-montero-number-one-hot-100/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter" target="_blank">scored</a> his second number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 as "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" debuts on top of the chart. His first number one was, of course, "Old Town Road," in 2019. "Montero" racked up 46.9 million streams and sold 21,000 downloads in its first week according to MCR Data, Billboard reports. Many of those streams were no doubt a result of Nas' <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6swmTBVI83k">wildly controversial video</a>, in which he rides a stripper pole to Hell, gives Satan a lap dance and then murders him and takes his throne. As if that wasn't enough publicity, Nas also made headlines with his "Satan Shoes," featuring drops of real human blood and the Bible quote “Luke 10:18" -- "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven" -- embroidered on the side. Nike subsequently sued MSCHF, the company that produced the shoes, for ripping off its Air Max 97 design. And on <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vU1AWcT1cps" target="_blank">Saturday Night Live</a> over the weekend, cast member Chris Redd portrayed Lil Nas X giving a lap dance to God, "just to even things out." Thrilled to have escaped the "one-hit wonder" tag, Lil Nas X <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://twitter.com/LilNasX/status/1379172818114412545" target="_blank">tweeted</a>, "y’all told a 19 year old who had just escaped the lowest point of his life that he would never have a hit again. you told him to stop while he’s ahead. he could’ve gave up. but 4 multi platinum songs and 2 #1’s later, he’s still here. thank you to my team and my fans! ily." Demi Lovato releases deluxe edition of new album, hear “Sunset” now

The new edition <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CNQ3M3fhSy7/" target="_blank">adds four tracks </a>to the original 19: a bonus track called "Sunset" and live acoustic performances of “Anyone,” “Dancing With The Devil” and “ICU (Madison’s Lullabye).” According to <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/9551407/demi-lovato-dancing-with-the-devil-the-art-of-starting-over-deluxe-edition/" target="_blank">Billboard</a>, the live versions were recorded during the drive-in premiere of Demi's YouTube documentary Dancing with the Devil. Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, both managed by Scooter, each got more than 53,000 shares, which are worth just under $10 million. Demi, who hasn't been with Scooter as long, got a little over 5,000 shares, which is worth about $996,000. Katy Perry sidesteps request for clarification of Taylor Swift comment she made on ‘American Idol’

Fans lost their collective minds speculating that this was some kind of hint that Katy and Taylor Swift had something in the works. But asked if that was indeed the case, Katy sidestepped the question. As part of <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://ew.com/tv/american-idol-judges-top-24-what-to-watch-video/" target="_blank">Entertainment Weekly</a>'s What to Watch video series, Katy was asked about that comment, to which she replied, "We have worked together, for the good of young girls, in that we've mended past wounds." Katy was apparently referring to the fact that she appeared in Taylor's video for "<a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkk9gvTmCXY" target="_blank">You Need to Calm Down</a>," in which the two were seen embracing. "I think that these days it's cooler to have women support other women across the board in all fields, especially in music," she continued. "Because I think women are held to such an insane standard; they're asked crazy questions that their male counterparts would never be asked. I think if we can support each other and lift each other up and advocate for equality, that's movement forward." But when Katy was pressed on the topic of whether that support would extend to her and Taylor recording a song together, she seemed a bit flummoxed, and then replied, "You know...there's always opportunities for collaboration again with wonderful people." Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP producer says making that album left him “nearly dead” and “broken”

White Shadow, born Paul Blair, also worked on Gaga's Born This Way album and the soundtrack for her movie A Star Is Born. <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CNQLfeBntma/" target="_blank">On Instagram</a>, he wrote that he's grateful for Gaga's "incredibly loving and rabid fans," and says he's "amazed" that how much they care "about that era and some songs that you have never heard." He then goes on to describe the making of ARTPOP as "particularly difficult," due to "transition and turmoil," not to mention “scum bags trying to latch onto the train I had worked so hard to get out of the station.” “I never been so broken as a human being the day when that record was turned in,” he wrote. “I was nearly dead...at times I felt finished with life. This is not an exaggeration." He says as late as last year, he was still trying to get over the trauma of the experience. As for Gaga, he says that era was "a hard time for her too," but adds, "I am sure she will be ok with revisiting it one day and building on it when the time is right. I will continue to push for those songs you want so badly...and I hope you will get to hear them...continue to get your message to the people in charge." Report: Shawn Mendes gets his stolen Mercedes back

But now, TMZ reports that the car was recovered in Beverly Hills and has been returned to him. The vehicle was reportedly found parked on a residential street; when cops ran the plates, they were able to identify it as Shawn's stolen ride. A rep for the DJ confirmed the two are no longer dating and have been on their own for quite some time. "They broke up a month ago," Taggart's spokesperson told<a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/chantel-jeffries-drew-taggart-split-after-1-year-dating/" target="_blank"> Us Weekly</a>, who also maintained there is no ill-will between the former couple. "It was an amicable breakup, and they remain friends," the rep explained. Taggart, 31, and Jeffries, 28, first sparked dating rumors in February 2020 when they attended a Super Bowl party in Miami together. The two were photographed at several other events, but it wasn't until that July that the two went Instagram official.
