Miley Cyrus thanks fans for one billion streams of ‘Plastic Hearts’
Miley Cyrus has been celebrating her past by marking the 15th anniversary of Hannah Montana, but what she’s doing in the present day is worthy of celebration as well.
On her socials, Miley wrote, “I am honored to say I am now 1 of 3 female artists spanning over the last 3 decades to have an album reach 1 billion streams on @spotify.”
The album that notched that milestone is her current release, Plastic Hearts. She added that she’s proud to be in the company of the two other female artists: Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.
Miley then thanked fans, writing, “Love and appreciation to everyone who has been listening to #PlasticHearts & supporting my life’s purpose from the beginning! Music is an essential part of my existence. I can’t thank you enough for making my dreams a reality.”
On Instagram, she also posted her take on the popular “How it started vs How it’s going” meme, sharing a composite photo of herself onstage years ago and a picture of herself in the same pose from this past weekend, when she performed at the Tribute to Frontline Heroes during the NCAA Final Four.
