Eclipse tops the Box Office

“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” topped the Box office this weekend- making $82.5 Million, The Last Airbender in Second with $53.3 Million, and Toy Story 3 in Third with $42.2 Million.

Twi-hards showed their loyalty and flocked to the theatres, which made “Eclipse” the number one movie this fourth of July weekend. “Eclipse” took and estimated $82.5 Million from Friday to Sunday, resulting in a $175.3 million cumulative since it’s Wednesday opening. “Eclipse” also established new Hollywood records for widest-ever opening release, best midnight debut and single greatest Wednesday premiere. However, “Eclipse” didn’t beat out it’s predecessor, “New Moon” which had an opening weekend total of $178 Million.
