A horrific incident took place at the Gotham Hotel in New York City Friday morning when Playboy model Stephanie Adams jumped from a penthouse window with her 7-year-old son.

A horrific incident took place at the Gotham Hotel in New York City Friday morning when Playboy model Stephanie Adams jumped from a penthouse window with her 7-year-old son.
According to Radar Online, Adams and her son died instantly after hitting a second floor balcony. An NYPD spokesperson provided more details, saying:
“[At] around 8:40 in the morning, police responded and discovered a deceased female in her 40’s and a male, approximately 7-years-old on the second floor balcony on 16th E 46th street, which is the Gotham Hotel. Both were pronounced deceased on the scene and an investigation is ongoing.”
As it turns out, Adams was in the middle of a brutal custody battle with her estranged husband, Charles Nicolai. Nicolai, who owns a chiropractic business, is also in the middle of a lawsuit after a former employee sued him for gender discrimination.
Two months before her suicide, Adams took to Twitter to share a cryptic tweet some thought might be about Nicolai. She said:
“The only person who should ever be ashamed in a domestic abuse incident is the abuser. Stand tall and stay strong. Find the right support and always maintain your safety. Get the help you and your child need now to no longer be a victim.”

However, nothing definitive is known for sure yet.

Currently, the Gotham Hotel is refusing to comment on the incident. Nicolai has also not said anything about the incident as of the time of writing.
