Let’s Get These Ed Sheeran Rumors Straight
Ed Sheeran has been clearing up a lot of rumors recently, starting with his ‘secret wedding,’ and finishing with his royal wedding performance.

Ed Sheeran has been clearing a lot of things up recently, starting with his “super secret marriage.” Long story short, no, he didn’t get married secretly, like reported a few days ago. Well, it turns out that yes, he IS wearing a ring on the wedding ring finger, but it’s actually a male-version of an engagement ring. “I never saw why men didn’t wear engagement rings. It’s the same commitment either way,” Ed says. That totally makes sense, why don’t guys wear engagement rings? Ed also revealed that his fiancée actually made the ring herself – “Cherry made it for me herself out of silver clay. I really like it.” That’s awesome! Is Ed Sheeran playing the royal wedding? Well, after basically saying that he was playing at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding later this year, he’s saying that it’s actually not happening that way at all. He says that he was never officially asked, but he was asked if he would say yes if he was asked. Ok, that sounded confusing. Here’s what Ed said: “They asked, ‘If you were asked, would you say yes?’ And I was like, ‘Of course.’ But journalists like, everyone’s like, ‘He’s playing it!’ But no one’s looked at my tour dates. I’m in Ireland, I can’t do it… I haven’t been asked either.” Well, that wasn’t much less confusing, but he basically saying that he’s on tour the day of the wedding, and can’t perform even if he was asked to perform. We think he’d make an exception though, I guess we’ll see when the wedding happens.
