Lady Gaga has just cancelled every remaining date on the European stretch of her “Joanne World Tour,” effective right now.

Remember, she delayed the start of the tour as well. The reason is because of the pain she’s in constantly. She suffers from fibromyalgia, which causes extreme pain in her hips. The pain has been getting so bad that she’s just not physically able to perform any more. Hopefully this won’t be a permanent thing, though it sounds like the possibility of that is there, she’s working with doctors to try and figure out how she can keep performing in the future. Ticket Holders can start getting refunds tomorrow, February 6th. She released the statement on her social media pages:

10 shows in total are cancelled, and Gaga will now return home to recover. The start of this tour was postponed in September due to the pain as well, which led to hospitalization. She released this statement then:

I have always been honest about my physical and mental health struggles … As I get stronger and when I feel ready, I will tell my story in more depth, and plan to take this on strongly so I can not only raise awareness, but expand research for others who suffer as I do, so I can help make a difference… I’m a fighter. I use the word suffer not only because trauma and chronic pain have changed my life, but because they are keeping me from living a normal life.

She said in her documentary “Five Foot Two” that she injured her hip, which led to the cancellation of her tour in 2013 as well. It’s never cool to find out the concert you were looking forward to was cancelled, especially when it’s as high-profile as Lady Gaga, but we’re sure that her fans will understand the situation, and the pain is clearly bad enough that she felt like she had to drop out. Hopefully she gets better and the doctors can figure out what’s going on, she’s had a lot of trouble with this pain.
