Kaley Cuoco is my spirit animal! The Big Bang star recently shared a story about breaking up with a “famous” boyfriend because he was a bad tipper, and I don’t blame her! That’s a huge turn off!
“Let’s call him John. Because if I tell you his name, you’d know who he is,” the actress revealed to Vogue in their “Sad Hot Girls” video series.
The 32-year-old says she was 19 at the time and was just starting out in Hollywood when she met “a hot guy” and quickly convinced herself he was The One.
“I’m going to marry him, he is the father of my children, I’m so in love!” she recalled thinking. “Everyone that met him loved him, too, and we looked cute together.”
That’s until “John” took her on a romantic date. “We had this great dinner, we got along and the conversation was great,” Cuoco said. Then the bill came and she noticed he was studying it “really seriously.” She 1st thought maybe he needed glasses. Then he began using the calculator function on his phone.
“I start to get a little bit hot, cause I think I’m realizing what’s happening,” she revealed. “He’s multiplying like an 8% tip. Oh my god, he’s cheap. He’s cheap. He’s a bad tipper.”
The same thing kept happening when they would go out to eat, including the time he offered to pick up a $600 check for her family. She was convinced he was going to leave $13. “I was horrified,” she admitted. A guilty Cuoco even went back to a restaurant one time to tip a server because she felt so bad.
