A woman found out that her real father is her parents’ fertility doctor after taking a DNA test. She’s taking legal action!
Kelli Rowlette’s, 36, test result on Ancestry.com revealed reproductive specialist Dr. Gerald E. Mortimer as her real dad. The lawsuit claims the doctor knowingly used his own sperm to impregnate Kelli’s mom in the early ’80s.
This must have been extra strange for Kelli because she didn’t know her parents turned to artificial insemination. According to the Sun, Kelli’s parents chose to mix her dad’s sperm with selected donors. However, the doctor reportedly used his own sperm in the sample.
This story gets weirder: Dr. Mortimer also delivered Kelli.
Kelli dismissed the test results at first until she found her birth certificate with the doctor’s signature. She’s suing the doctor on medical negligence and fraud.
