[Watch] First Trailer For Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ Has Officially Released

The official first trailer for Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ movie, starring Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson, has released for fans to watch.

The first trailer for Disney’s upcoming film, Jungle Cruise, has officially released.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this new adventure movie will reportedly focus on brother and sister explorers, played by Jack Whitehall and Emily Blunt respectively. The story will follow the adventurers, as they hire a boat captain, played by Dwayne Johnson, to sail them down the Amazon River in search of a special tree believed to have healing powers. On their adventure, the explorers will also reportedly be competing against a rival German expedition team, as they hunt for the hidden tree.

Jungle Cruise is being directed by  Jaume Collet-Serra, who also directed The Shallows. The film, based off the classic Disney ride, takes place in the early 20th century and will follow inspirations from other classic adventure films, like Indiana JonesRomancing the Stone and The African Queen. Blunt and Johnson teased footage from the film earlier, at the D23 Disney event. Jungle Cruise will release July 24, 2020.
