As if I didn’t already love Trader Joe’s enough.

The Trader Joe’s in Kalamazoo, Michigan had a little issue with one of their refrigerators. It broke. So what did they do with the 35,000 pounds of food being stored? They donated it.

The store brought all that food to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, and they said it was the largest donation they have ever received. Trader Joe’s store captain, Daniel Sorscher said this is actually company policy.

“Everything that we deem is able to be consumed safely we donate to our neighbors and we’re really happy to participate in helping the community in that way.”
