There’s A New Wine ATM With A Lot Of Options [VIDEO]
There’s a bar that has an “ATM” for wine, and it’s just the best thing we’ve heard of in the wine industry in quite some time.

We all know ATMs. They’re always in dimly lit locations, there’s usually gum stuck to it somewhere, and we’re constantly worried it’ll eat our bank card. Not to mention they always smell like pee. Why do they always smell like pee? Anyway, this one is clean, and it just smells like wine, which is a much better thing.
It’s in Las Vegas (of course), and it dispenses wine. They say it’s a “Wine ATM,” but really it’s just a machine that pours you wine for money. Like an automatic bartender. This one in particular has about 160 different wines to pick from. The hotel bar it’s in has another 240 additional wines to pick from, so you’ll find something you like for sure. Here’s a video on how it works:
So the basic procedure is pretty simple. You add money to a special “wine card.” That card works in the machines and keeps track of what you try, as well as the balance that remains. When you want some wine, you pop the card in, make your selection, and go. It’s pretty convenient for sure! Look, it’s not super-revolutionary, you’ve probably seen similar systems somewhere around Sac. I know a pizza place that has a similar system for beer, but this is wine! And wine is good, am I right?
Of course food and drink vending machines are nothing new, there are all sorts of odd machines out there. A bar in New Orleans even has a champagne vending machine. Seriously, you get a bottle of champagne like it was a soda. You can get pizza from a vending machine, cupcakes, hygiene products, basically there’s a machine for everything. I’ve even seen machines that sell Apple products like iPods and headphones.
