Taylor Swift Donates $15,000 To Fan With Mom In Coma

Taylor Swift donated $15,000 toward’s a teenage fan’s GoFundMe to help her mom, who has been in a coma for the past three years.

Taylor Swift donated $15,000 to a young fan to help her mom, who has been in a coma for three years.

The 19-year-old, Sadie Bartell, linked to her GoFundMe in a Twitter post, explaining her situation. “Hey guys. I’m really nervous to post this,” she wrote. “Please help if you can and pray for my family. I’m sorry I never said anything sooner and that I’m suddenly asking for help. I love you guys so much.”

In her Twitter note, Bartell thanked Swift for “keeping [her] afloat through it all,” E! News notes. The “Delicate” singer, catching wind of the donation page, then proceeded to donate $15,000 to help reach the goal. She signed, “Love, Taylor, Meredith and Olivia Swift” [Meredith and Olivia are her cats].

After receiving the donation, Bartell took to Facebook to thank Swift. “Everyone who knows me knows that Taylor Swift is my whole entire life,” the teenager wrote. “She has been there for me more than anyone. I really, truly, would not be who I am without her. She shows up every time I need her. She always has and she always will. I wish that I could express how much it means to me that ANYONE has helped my family over the years, let alone Taylor. She is the light at the end of the tunnel and is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
