Fans of Stranger Things may see two of their favorite characters finally getting together in the upcoming season. The show has teased a mysterious past relationship between Winona Ryder’s and David Harbour’s characters, Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper, and this new season may finally see two getting together.
According to Variety, both Harbour and Stranger Things’s Millie Bobbie Brown have expressed their interest and thoughts about seeing Joyce and Hopper develop a relationship. Brown, who plays Eleven in the show, said she would “love for them to get together”. Harbour gave his thoughts on the characters as well, saying: “From the very beginning, I thought that these are two tortured, messed up, beautiful people who are like puzzle pieces that can’t stand each other but actually need each other.” He went on to further tease fans by saying, “It’s a really fun season where you’re gonna get to see these characters experience summer in Indiana, and there’s this sense of new relationships. It’s sort of a big celebration of love.”
These brief hints are all fans have to go off so far, until the third season’s tentative premiere next summer. For more information about the new characters and details about the upcoming Stranger Things season, click here.
