Selena Gomez has remained silent about donating her salary from a Woody Allen movie to the Time’s Up fund, but apparently already has.

Stars who worked on the new Woody Allen movie “A Rainy Day in New York” have pledged to donate their salaries from that movie to “Time’s Up” as well as “other charitable organizations” because of all the sexual abuse and harassment allegations not only in Hollywood, but against Director Woody Allen. Timothee Chalamet and Rebecca Hall have already, but there’s been no word from Selena Gomez about her donating her own salary.
Anyway, back to the story. Selena Gomez has been at the center of a lot of comments online from people criticising the fact that she’s been pretty silent about the #MeToo and Time’s Up campaigns, and that she needs to donate her salary from the Woody Allen movie like her co-stars already have. Someone from Selena’s team came forward and said that Selena Gomez has “made a significant donation anonymously,” and added that the amount of the donation “far exceeded her salary for the film.”
We’re not sure why it was an anonymous donation, or if the comments from people online had any influence on the donation, what exactly the amount of the donation was, or in what name the donation was made, but according to someone close to Gomez, she has, in fact, made a donation to the Time’s Up fund, which in part will go towards legal costs for those who have had to deal with sexual abuse, assault. or harassment.
