ABC/Image Group LAAfter turning over her Instagram to Black community leaders and activists earlier this month, Selena Gomez has now teamed with Plus1.org — a platform that helps artists identify charities they want to work with and handles all the technical aspects of donation — to create a “Black Equality Fund.”

Its mission, according to Selena, is to “amplify organizations on the front line of ensuring Black voices are heard.”

On Twitter, she explains, “It’s all of our responsibly to fight for equality & justice for the Black community. Silence isn’t an option, let’s all join this fight for equality.”

On the fund’s donor page, Selena further states, “Black Lives Matter. Everyone needs to have their voices heard and we can do that by VOTING, as well as lending our time, effort and (if able) donations to fight for equality, equity and justice for the Black community and other marginalized communities. Join me!”

All donations will go to 10 different organizations, including African American Policy Forum,Color of Change, BU Center for Antiracist Research, Equal Justice Initiative and Movement for Black Lives.
