Saoirse Ronan Tries To Pronounce Other Actors’ Names [VIDEO]
Saoirse Ronan has a notoriously difficult-to-pronounce name, as well as a lot of other actors, and Saoirse has as much trouble with those as us.

You, me, everyone here at the radio station – we all have trouble pronouncing Saoirse’s name. It’s through no fault of our own, it’s clearly a very unique name. She breaks it down in a very quick example in this video, but that’s not the point of the video.
In this video, she’s trying to pronounce the names of other actors that are notoriously difficult to pronounce. Even the “easy” ones threw her a curve (including us), but this will probably go down in history as being the go-to video for pronouncing many celebrity names. Here it is:
Also, we’ve got to give Saoirse a shout-out, she was just nominated for “Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture.” It’s not her first nomination, she was nominated for “Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture” for “Brooklyn” last year, and in 2008 she got “Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture” for “Atonement.” If she wins in January for “Lady Bird,” it’ll be her first Golden Globe win.
When she found out she was nominated, she was actually hiking near her hometown in Ireland. She tried to call her mom to let her know, but her mom didn’t answer (which is highly unusual). Apparently she found out that her daughter was nominated through someone else before Saoirse got the chance to tell her. See that story here.
