Rosie O’Donnell has big news: she’s marrying her girlfriend, Elizabeth Rooney!
According to Radar Online, the 56-year-old comedian proposed to her 33-year-old girlfriend over the summer. However, the couple kept it a secret as Rooney is a police officer in Massachusetts. A source explained:
“Elizabeth is in the police force so she tries to keep a lot of those details on the low.”

While there is a 22-year age gap between the two, the source insists they’re definitely in love. They said:
“They’re very, very happy. I do believe that this will see its full life-term expectancy.”
Rosie O’Donnell and Elizabeth Rooney first went public with their relationship back in November of 2017. They revealed the news following the surprising suicide of O’Donnell’s ex-wife Michelle Rounds.
