So who is “Becky with the good hair” that Beyoncé checks in her track “Sorry” about Jay-Z’s affair? Many believe it’s Rita Ora. She formed a close relationship with the rapper when she signed on to Roc Nation, his record label.

According to Music-news, Rita addressed the rumors in a new interview, saying:

“If I were Becky with the good hair, wouldn’t I actually have to have good hair? Look at it. It’s all weave and extensions.”

She also went on to say that she’d never dream of stealing Beyoncé’s man:

“Nobody can ever say anything wrong about that woman in front of me. I get emotional just talking about it.”

Although Rita and Jay-Z might’ve had a close relationship when she signed on with his label, she’s since moved on to Atlantic Records. She launched a legal dispute with the company on grounds of discrimination and sexism:

“I want to find the right word here, and maybe this is my interpretation, but I do feel I got discriminated against because I was a woman. I almost felt – maybe this is just my interpretation – I could have had a better chance if I’d been male.”

The two are now on cordial terms with one another, and Rita has hired her sister, Elena, as her business manager. The pop star says that she and her sister share the same goals:

“To be honest, I’d always wanted to become a household name (not just a pop singer), that was my dream. My sister and I, we argue like crazy all the time, but we’re very proud of what we’ve done up to this point.”
