PSA: ‘Friends’ Will Be Leaving Netflix On January 1
The iconic television sitcom, ‘Friends’, has been revealed to be leaving Netflix’s streaming service starting January 1, 2019.

Friends fans had better get all their binge-watching in, because Friends will be leaving Netflix on January 1.
According to Decider, the beloved sitcom will be no longer be offered on the streaming service after the new year. The “details” page for Friends now lists the show as available until January 1, 2019.
This move has many speculating that Friends will make its streaming return on WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming platform. This new service is expected to launch in late 2019, but nothing has been confirmed.

Many fans were naturally upset by the news, with many taking to social media to voice their complaints. The public outcry just goes to show how popular the show is on Netflix. Analytics gathered from Deadline and Parrot Analytics showed that Friends is the third-most popular sitcom in the United States. The two other shows are Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Big Bang Theory.
