After Posting About Her Great Year, Fans Angry At Taylor Swift [PIC]
Taylor Swift made an innocent post thanking everyone for the birthday love, and talked about how good her year was, and that sent people off.

In Taylor’s defense, she did have a pretty awesome year, and maybe people just got a little too critical on her?
She made a post on social media after her birthday saying “I love you guys so much. This was a photo @paul_sidoti took at @capitalofficial Jingle Bell Ball in London a few days ago. I couldn’t have asked for a better year, all thanks to you. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Can’t wait to see what 28 will be like. See you on tour 😄.” Pretty innocent and sweet, right? I mean, she had a great year. She won a sexual assault case in court against that radio DJ who groped her, her album release was an absolutely massive success, breaking album sales for the year in just the first week, and she’s got herself a new man, and they look to be going very strong. But fans on her Instagram page didn’t take too kindly to her post, calling her out for basically ignoring all the political things that happened this year. First, here’s her post:
Some of the people calling her out cited other news events from the year, such as President Trumps travel ban, white supremacy marches, attacks of terror (New York, London, the Ariana Grande concert, etc).
Taylor Swift is my arch enemy now https://t.co/JL9nRGJPnh

I mean, yeah there were Nazi’s and white supremacy marches, and families are being town apart, and there were mass shootings, and people are losing health care, but none of that affects me, so 2017 was great!

There isn’t an eye roll big enough

But luckily, there were those who came to her defense:
Gasp Taylor Swift’s personal life was good this year, clearly she isn’t paying attention to the rest of the world.
Saying your personal year was good says literally nothing about the social/political state. A year can be s*** socially but good to you regarding personal growth.

it was her birthday yesterday and she was referring to her personal goals and everything that happened since her last birthday…but sure go off

Should Taylor have held back on her “best year ever” comment, or are people just overreacting?
