P!nk Is Headed To Court After Being Served Papers [VIDEO]

Pink was just served a court summons while leaving a store in New York, and it’s all related to the Kesha vs. Dr Luke battle.

One of our favorite artists, Pink, is headed to court after she was served a summons while walking out of a store yesterday (April 4th). There’s a video that TMZ was able to get that shows the process server giving her the paper.

“Giving” is hardly the correct term here though. He more or less “shoved” the papers into Pink’s arms while she was carrying her 1-year-old, Jameson. She didn’t really seem to react though, while her security guy stepped in and shoved the guy back while asking “what are you doing?” At the very last moment though, you see Pink sort of look up, kind of startled. Perhaps she saw what the paper was. Here’s the video:

Reports after the video was shot indicate that Pink is being called to court to testify about the lawsuit between Kesha and Dr. Luke. A quick review of that lawsuit: Kesha sued Dr. Luke (producer, not a real doctor) to get out of a recording contract because she says he “sexually, physically, verbally, and emotionally abused [Kesha] to the point where [she] nearly lost her life.” Pink has been a supporter of Kesha during this time, claiming that Dr. Luke is indeed “not a good person.” Check out a little more info here.

With all that said, can we just say that there must be a better way to “serve” people with papers? Shoving papers into their face is a little “eh;” can’t process servers announce themselves officially, something like that? Though I guess that would lead to people running off before papers could be delivered. I think there’s a law that says the paper has to physically be handed to the recipient? Am I right about that?
