When’s the last time anyone talked about the Tony Awards? I honestly don’t know, but we are now! Student survivors from Parkland opened last night’s show on CBS, People reports. The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s drama department sang Rent‘s “Seasons of Love” and received a standing ovation. There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience! The performance was to honor their teacher Melody Herzfeld, who won the coveted Excellence in Theatre Education Award.
